Gold snuffbox made around 1790 by the goldsmith Frederik Fabritius (1683-1755).

There is a black plate inlaid on the lid with a rose-cut diamond ‘F’.

It probably belonged to the heir presumptive Frederik.

Frederik VII used his grandfather’s snuffbox daily.
